About

A senior engineer, advisor, and writer.

Thinking in public about engineering growth, system design, and sustainable careers.

Background
  • A decade and change of backend and systems engineering, including time at large-scale cloud and AI companies.
  • Experience spans distributed systems, AWS architecture, ML infrastructure, and engineering leadership.
  • Ongoing mentoring and advisory for engineers across all levels — from early-career to staff.
  • Writing and thinking on sustainable engineering careers, with a particular attention to neurodivergent experience.
Philosophy

Long-term engineering growth isn't only about technical skill accumulation. It's about clarity, sustainability, and good decision-making over years.

Most of the engineering writing and advisory I do sits in this frame. The interesting questions aren't only technical — they're about how engineers build focus, choose problems, and stay curious across a long career.

Neurodivergent lived experience

I'm an ADHD engineer working in environments that weren't designed for ADHD brains. Much of the support I offer is informed by that experience — not as a specialty identity, but as a practical lens. Energy management, focus, and the cost of ambiguity are engineering concerns, not personal failings.

What I work on here

This site is the long-term home for the advisory, writing, and tools I care about. It's intentionally small and meant to compound slowly — less a landing page, more a place to think in public.

Published work

Longer-form writing on engineering careers, neurodiversity in tech, ML engineering, and navigating the harder moments of a tech career.
